Gyu Masu: A Culinary Establishment Redefining the Art of Umami Wagyu Established in 2024, Gyu Masu is a pioneering restaurant on the Westside of Oahu, introducing the masses to the exquisite delights of farm-to-table Umami Wagyu by Toriyama from Gunma Prefecture. Building upon the legacy of Takumi Japanese Restaurant & Bar, which served the Westside community since 2016, Gyu Masu has revamped and reopened its doors at The Embassy Suites Kapolei by Hilton, presenting a novel concept that showcases an array of Umami Wagyu by Toriyama from Gunma Prefecture, carefully crafted to satiate the most discerning carnivorous cravings. In a collaborative effort, Gyu Masu has partnered with V.N.J Imports Inc to establish a direct import relationship with the fourth generation of wagyu farmers from Gunma Prefecture, specifically from the esteemed Toriyama farms. This strategic alliance enables Gyu Masu to procure the finest quality Umami Wagyu, ensuring an unparalleled culinary experience for its guests. Under the culinary expertise of our executive chef, Gyu Masu's menu boasts an innovative fusion of delicate Umami Wagyu and expert preparation techniques, accompanied by unique dashi, resulting in the creation of the first-of-its-kind Umami Wagyu ramen, nabe, and local favorite wagyu pupu steak. This decadent cuisine is further complemented by an extensive selection of craft drinks, featuring fresh fruit juice, carefully crafted by our skilled bartenders to cater to the diverse preferences of our valued guests.
